How do they make Greek yogurt thicker and creamier?
After heating the milk, adding the bacterial cultures and allowing the milk to gel into regular yogurt, they then take the regular yogurt and strain it with a filter. This removes the liquid whey part of the milk along with some of the lactose sugars, salt and water which are naturally in the yogurt. This leaves you with Greek yogurt.
